heres a question that may baffle people.

Okay me and a friend got into a fight one night and he said that he doesn't think i'm really Bisexual.

So I replied to him That A bi sexual is a person that can fall in love with guys or girls. HOWEVER he beleaved that Bi's are people who HAVE SEX with both men and women.

My question is Just because I'm not into gay sex Does that NOT make me Bisexual? I wanna hear your opinions on this and PLEASE no hate replies I get enough of thoughs At work as is >_<

I'm not really sure on that one. Well...lets put it this way...what defines a strait guy and what defines a gay guy in terms of relationships?

Ones less likely to cheat on his girl friend? lol


All jokeing aside I know relationship wise there almost no differance but the fact is my firend doesn't beleave I;m bi because I refuse to have gay or anal sex with another guy.

Bi, in my opinion, means that you find both men and woman sexually attractive...I honestly think it's a matter of opinion of what you think and not somebody else.

You could be like 60/40 Bi LOL.

I just would never do something like that, I don't mean This in any offensive way, but I find gay sex very gross.

My friend is also Bi and has had 2 boyfriends I didn't but i'll say if an anime guy is hot or if a RL guy was hot lol It gets really bad when me and my gf start talking about FF7 and we BOTH love vincent XD

My friend at a camp was explaining something similiar to this to me. It's a little X-rated but quite funny. He's not gay, He was just telling us this thing for some reason.

Hrm, well...in the end, if you're sexually aroused by both guys and girls, that's an open and closed case; that's bisexual, by definition. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to express with the "wouldn't have gay sex" bit...

If it's just not liking the idea of anal intercourse, then that's not an issue. There are estimates that up to 20% of gay men don't engage in such, and the replacement of such with other alternatives, such as interfemoral sex has a pretty big historical "precedent", from the Greeks to Oscar Wilde.

If you just completely don't find the idea of sex with men in any form attractive, though, it is possible that you're just a straight guy particularly open to acknowledging that there are attractive men out there. I suppose, in theory, you could be aroused by other men but not by the idea of sex with them, which would be...interesting, to say the least.

Another alternative is that you're what I guess would be called "bisocial": not sexually attracted to the same sex but open to the idea of emotional relationships with them.

And, likewise, it is possible that you're just closer to straight than "truly" bisexual. The Kinsey Scale posits that true heterosexuality and homosexuality are far from the norm and that most people fall somewhere in between, with certain amounts of incidental hetero- or homosexuality thrown into their dominant tendency. You just might happen to be a bit more then incidentally homosexual but mostly heterosexual.

*shrugs* In the end, it really depends on what you mean by not being attracted to sex with other men.

Well, in the end, here's the question: are there men, in addition to women, who sexually arouse you? If so, you're bisexual...and, presumably, just not comfortable with the idea of gay sex. The options about not being comfortable with gay intercourse and being more straight than "truly" bi would apply here. If not, you're not bisexual, and it would make the most sense to consider the "straight but open to aesthetically appreciating other men" and "bisocial" options.

In the end, all of the options can't apply.

(Disclaimer: I'm probably misusing the term bisocial...I think it probably has a common usage with less of an attachment to "romantic" relations and a more distant relation with the "X-sexual" words. I'm not quite certain, in the end, but it seemed like a nice term to sum up the point, at the time.)

Well...if you wouldn't have any problem "cuddling", but you're not aroused by them...then you're just not bisexual. It's called "bisexual" for a reason. I'd say that falls under the "straight but open to relations with guys" bit, for the most part.
