About three or four years ago, I would have been EXTREMELY interested in this. These days...I'd much rather stick to small time roleplaying with my friends. I find them much more enjoyable these days. I used to love roleplaying on huge scales with structure and rules and such...but I've outgrown that.

Re-writing history, huh? It actually sounds pretty cool. You'd have to have alot of commited people, though, and I don't think many people on FTT would be.

Hrm...it does sound interesting. I remember playing something vaguely related in a sort of Roman Empire specific format...but that was a long while back and it was a good deal more character-specific rather than nation-specific or what have you. And I'm something of a Civilization nut. *shrugs*

If you got a decent number of people, I'd probably be up for trying it out...depending, I guess, on what sort of "NESing" would be done.

If I ever got one started, I'm planning on ripping off the one I'm in - Namely, placing a bunch of people in a cradle of civilization and having you guys write a history of the world.
